Missing Blog

I just clicked on causapatet's blog and it is gone. I had not heard that the blog was being removed or moved.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

West Coast Havoc?

Will there be a West coast, Cascadia fault, 9.0 Magnitude quake Thursday evening March 22nd?
This person thinks so.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Sunday, March 18, 2012

St. Petersburg, Florida – Our researchers have discovered a pattern of seismicity going back to 1965 that has transitioned into large magnitude events including Earth axis shifts on a regular 188-day cycle. The most-recent events include the February 27, 2010 8.8 event in Chile, the September 4, 2010 7.1 event at Christchurch, New Zealand, the September 15, 2011 7.3 event in Fiji and the March 11, 2011 9.0 Japan event. The next timeline event is expected to take place according to our calculations on March 22, 2012 at 4:58:34 UTC, when Earth will pass through the gravity trough connecting the Sun and a heavy-mass object (HMO) being tracked out of the Leo Constellation. The Earth axis is expected to shift five to six inches like the four-inch shift with Japan event and the three-inch shift with the Chile event.

Saturn is currently in the Virgo Constellation next door to the Leo Constellation where the ringed planet also passed between the Sun and this HMO to develop an extra ring and the super storm now raging in the northern hemisphere. The evidence indicates that Jupiter’s liquefying core, Venus’ slowing rotation with Mars’ and Uranus’ increased seismicity are all perturbations associated with our inbound HMO. The last time Saturn experienced this storm type was thirty years ago, when the planet passed between the Sun and Leo Constellation. Our team is also tracking the U.S. Government response to these threats, which includes Presidential, NASA, DHS and FEMA Preparations.

Our research team anticipates that HAARP multi-frequency wave signatures will begin transmitting on March 19, 2012 at 4:58:34 UTC precisely seventy two hours prior to the expected event. The team also expects to see increased four to six magnitude quake swarm activity at the ‘event’ location. Everyone living in or around a seismic area should be warned to brace for one of the top five seismic events in recorded history on March 22, 2012 right around the equinox.          ============================================================

I have been sending warning messages to the media all along and nobody has responded with a single word. We shall see very soon if the next 'event' on the 188-day cycle is for real or not. My hands are clean and everyone has the opportunity to be warned ...

Now I don't normally like to post this type of info without having adequate time to research it, but there is not much time available to do so in this case. Take precautions, better safe than sorry.
Besides, you need the practice.

See you on the other side... I hope!

No show on the quake, thank goodness!

I don't understand why these people want their names and reputation attached to this hyperbole. I believe it is prudent to prepare against such events, but to cry wolf to garner a little attention is ludicrous. All future warnings will fall on deaf ears as you lose credibility with your intended audience.

I went back to the forum where this originated and was amazed at the "strangeness" of some of the posts. I'll not repeat them here but the very last post asks: "Where did everybody go?"

Geomagnetic Storms

Checking this morning and this is what I have found:

CHANCE OF FLARES: NOAA forecasters estimate a 40% chance of an X-class solar flare today from big sunspot AR1429. The sunspot is almost directly facing Earth, so any such eruptions should be geoeffective. Solar flare alerts: text, phone.

GEOMAGNETIC STORM UNDERWAY: At first, yesterday's widely-reported CME impact produced little in the way of Earth effects. Since then things have changed. The wake of the CME was actually more effective than the CME itself in stirring up geomagnetic activity, and now a moderate geomagnetic storm is underway. Jónína Óskarsdóttir sends this picture from Faskrudsfjordur, Iceland:

Make sure to keep checking for threatening activity as long as this Sun Spot is pointed at us.

UPDATE: It appears that Sunspot AR1429 has unleashed another strong solar flare, an M6-class eruption. While not as strong as yesterdays, this one will piggyback in on it, adding to the current magnetic storm. I don't think that this particular Sunspot likes us very much. It seems we are staring down the barrel of a gun with this one.

ANOTHER CME TARGETS EARTH: Sunspot AR1429 has unleashed another strong flare, an M6-class eruption on March 9th at 0358 UT. The blast hurled a coronal mass ejection almost directly toward Earth. According to analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab, the CME will arrive on March 11th at 0649 UT (+/- 7 hr). NOAA forecasters say the odds of a strong geomagnetic storm at that time is 50%. Aurora alerts: text, phone

The same eruption that hurled the CME toward Earth also produced a monsterous tsunami of plasma on the sun. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the shadowy but powerful wave rippling away from the blast site.

The tsumani was about 100,000 km high and raced outward at 250 km/s with a total energy of about 2 million megatons of TNT. Such waves often underlie CMEs like the one en route to Earth now.

Animated forecast tracks show that the CME will also hit the Mars Science Lab (MSL) spacecraft on March 12th followed by Mars itself on March 13th. Mars rover Curiosity onboard MSL might get some interesting readings as the cloud passes by.

It looks like we are in for some interesting times.

CME Alert!

I found this while checking out the Space Weather.

MAJOR SOLAR FLARE (UPDATED): Big sunspot AR1429 has unleashed another major flare. This one is the strongest yet, an X5-class eruption on March 7th at 00:28 UT. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the extreme UV flash:
This eruption hurled a bright CME into space, shown here in a movie from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory. Analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab estimate that the CME will reach Earth on March 8th at 0625 UT (+/- 7 hr), possibly triggering a strong-to-extreme geomagnetic storm. An animated forecast track shows the progression of the fast-moving cloud.

The flare also accelerated energetic protons toward Earth, triggering an S3-class solar radiation storm, in progress. Such a storm is mainly a nuisance to satellites, causing occasional reboots of onboard computers and adding noise to imaging systems.

I would suggest unplugging anything you may be fond of that is electrical in nature just to be on the safe side.
See you on the other side!

More Evidence of Gorebal Warming

Well there is more evidence of Gorebal Warming falling here today. Snow in the lowlands this late into the year is unusual in this Maritime climate that Western Washington enjoys. I hate to think what would be happening if we were experiencing another little Ice Age such as was recorded in Europe during the 16th to the 19th centuries!

If I were Al Gore I would be looking for an Igloo to hide my face in!

The Message

I love this song, for its melody and it's message.
