Creeping Revolution

Having followed the turmoil that has unseated the government in Tunisia, and what is now happening in Egypt, I can't help but wonder how such events might began to unfold here in the US, land of pacification and sheepology. Then, I came across this article from a link on Green Mountains Homesteading , The Coming Middle-Class Anarchy. Be sure to read all of the related articles, This Is What Brian and Ilsa Said To Their Bank , The Second Leg Down of America’s Death Spiral.

Now, do you have a mortgage?

Perhaps you do not need to feed the monkeys, or at least the banker monkeys, any longer.

What would that do for your preps? Call your mortgage holder. Ask to see your note. Sit back and watch the cockroaches scramble.

In December, I received a registered letter from my mortgage company offering me a no fee rate reduction refinance on my existing balance. This was followed up by two phone calls, by different individuals. I wonder if this was an attempt to cover their butt because they could not produce a note with my signature. They bought my mortgage from someone else some time back.
Food for thought anyway.

You Can't Make This Stuff Up!

I laughed my ass off over this one.

Police: Suspect in attacks put face in women's buttocks

The man accused of assaulting women in a West Seattle park intentionally grabbed women from behind and planted his face in their buttocks, according to police.

In one of the incidents, the victim told police the suspect apologized and said the fall was accidental. She wasn't convinced.

That man, Duane Starkenburg, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to misdemeanor assault for the most recent case, at Lincoln Park. He had a bail hearing for two other cases -- one on Aug. 11 and another on Dec. 15 -- but had not been charged in either incident.

His parents posted his bail of $150,000 Thursday, and Starkenburg was released, telling reporters that he is innocent.

"It's not like I'm this guy who puts on makeup and is running around attacking women," he told The Seattle Times.

In an interview with police Tuesday, Starkenburg allegedly said "he goes to the park everyday to watch women run as he likes to watch them 'jiggle and bounce,'" Detective Leslie Smith wrote in a probable cause document.
"His nose went up in my butt," she told police. "I was very shocked."

Go read this story, you'll laugh at this one too!

Massive fish kill blankets Arkansas River

(CNN) -- Arkansas officials are investigating the death of an estimated 100,000 fish in the state's northwest, but suspect disease was to blame, a state spokesman said Sunday.

School bus thefts raise security concerns

School bus thefts raise security concerns
11:25 AM CDT on Tuesday, August 28, 2007
By Jeff McShan / 11 News

The Houston Police Department's Criminal Intelligence Division, the FBI and the Harris County Sheriff's Office are all concerned about a large number of school buses that have been stolen in the Houston area over the last several months.

Seventeen large, yellow school buses were stolen recently from various charter schools, business schools and private bus companies. Not one has disappeared from HISD.

Most, if not all, were taken from locations on Houston’s north side. One off west Tidwell, another from the Lopez bus company off Melrose and Berry streets.

Timothy Williams is the superintendent at the High School for Business.
“We were going to park them over there inside the gate. Until we could get a gate around the facility, but we really didn't think that was going to be a problem,” said the charter school’s superintendent.

While it is important to point out that there is no known threat, HPD's Criminal Intelligence Division mentioned in a recent e-mail that these school bus thefts are a homeland security concern.

One detective said the buses may have been stolen and taken across the border to Mexico and that terrorism is unlikely.

Nevertheless, since the Sept. 11 attacks the thought of terrorists targeting children has certainly been discussed by the Department of Homeland Security. And that is why finding out what happened to these buses is very important.

Published reports in 2004 said that the U.S. military found information in Iraq pertaining to U.S. schools.

Reportedly, there have been hundreds of thefts of school bus radios in the United States.
With all that being said, 11 News was reminded Monday by law enforcement officials that school buses remain one of the safest ways to get to and from school. In fact, nationwide, school buses transport nearly 24 million kids to school daily.

Bus drivers all around the country are being trained regularly to look out for suspicious people and activities.

Yes, I know these articles are old and nothing has happened yet. American Sheeple have short memories. I give you two words:

Sleeper Cells.

Is that enough to make you start planning?
Can you sleep well at night?

Thankfully 3oEight is almost out of school! We have however discussed the situation and have a plan of action in place.
Be Aware!
Be Prepared!
Be Safe!

Happy New Year, I Guess. S.O.S.D.Y.

While reading a recent article on the bombing in Egypt of a Coptic church, I came across the following comment:

Stink Finger

We now live about 30 miles from Fresno . We are up in the Sierras and Fresno is the first big town we encounter when we leave the mtns. We shop there often.. I received this from my ex-homicide partner who is still active in law enforcement circles in the Fresno area.

Excuse the language, but don't excuse the facts. Don't give up your guns, and buy necessary ammunition if you can find it. Be cautious and alert. Be ready if, God forbid, we need to protect our families and loved ones.

If you weren't at Rotary meeting on Friday, you missed the only decent speaker we've had in more than a year. LTC John Cotter is the 144th Fighter Wing's antiterrorism officer. John had a two-part presentation. First part was describing his job as the unit’s antiterrorism officer. Pretty standard stuff

The second part was information that will curl your hair. A Part-time air guardsman works as a checker at local Von's. Two women in full burkas buy every pre-paid cellphone in the store. Clerk/airman gets to thinking about it. Goes to Cotter and reports incident. Cotter asks store for surveillance video. It's scary enough that he contacts Fresno FBI.

FBI investigates and determines these women have been doing this all over the Valley. Cell phones shipped through Canada to Iraq/Afghanistan where they become triggers for roadside bombs.

The Shell station at Peach and Shaw. Every time a local GI goes there in fatigues they are asked specific questions. What is your unit? When are you deploying? How many aircraft are you taking?

The F-16's out of Fresno fly CAP for west coast. As such they are the first line of defense so they have the US 's most sophisticated air-to-ai r missiles. Foreign governments would like to get their hands on those missiles or at least learn how to build them. Also how many we have, etc. Two spy groups are working on it, one based at Fashion Fair Mall (the F-16's take-off pattern) and one based at Sierra Vista Mall (the F-16's landing pattern).

Cotter said the @#$%s (But we don't profile) are always probing the base. Two dorks in a pickup show up at the front gate wanting to deliver a package marked Air National Guard, Fresno . No postage, no UPS, no FedEx, no DHL, no nothing. Just a probe.

I asked Cotter why we haven't seen anything about this in The Bee, on KMJ, on local TV news. He said they're not interested. Since Friday I've learned of two other things. My brother-in-law, Frank, (management at Avaya) had a Muslim tech who took a leave-of-absence for 6 weeks in Afghanistan . After the 6 weeks were up he called from New York requesting an extension. Frank (who does profile) said, you're fired, and called the Fresno FBI who were very interested. Don't know the outcome.

A Muslim who owns a liquor store in my former hometown of Kingsburg was constantly bugging customers to buy guns for him. Finally one of the guys I grew up with called the FBI.

We are a country at war and the enemy is among us. I don't care what Janet Napolitano says, it's a fight to the death and we should be prepared as possible Brother-in-law Frank has a theory and I think it may be closer to the truth than Homeland Security wants to admit. There are a certain number (probably a large number) of Muslims among us who are awaiting the trigger date and will begin randomly killing as many of us as they can, sort of a Fort Hood on steroids. I know I'm getting prepared to shoot back.

Two items of interest: Sheriff Margaret Mims wants to grant concealed carry permits to all who are qualified. Columnist Jim Boren, among the most bleeding of the bleeding heart liberals, says it's time for Fresno residents to arm themselves. LOAD up, you can bet this is happening in places other than Fresno .

I was asked to send this to everyone in my address book. Some of those I'm se

For what it's worth.
Be aware of your surroundings.
Be suspicious of everything out of the ordinary.
Be safe.

If at all feasible, be armed at all times. You may be all that stands between a terrorist and his victims. Our Government has proven that it doesn't care about it's citizens by not securing our borders. So you are your own family's only defense!

Happy New Year.
